Feature: Otra Vida EP by Swan Hil & Alexis Rodriguez

Los Angeles singer-songwriter Swan Hil & Mexican producer Alexis Rodriguez have spent the past half-dozen years individually working on their craft; performing, recording, writing, and producing. In 2022, by fate and destiny, their paths crossed. An introductory hang-out and writing session became a fun and creative day in which Swan and Alexis co-wrote and produced Basement Ghosts. The track would become the duo’s first single and the spark of inspiration to create the collaborative EP Otra Vida, a showcase of Latin-inspired and deep-edged songs. The EP helped crystallize and capture the rising demand for crossover Spanish/English styles, playing a fundamental role in their ongoing evolution as artists. 

Otra Vida continues in the spirit of gentle redefinition. Sonically, the EP isn’t so much a dramatic reinvention as the latest and perhaps most comprehensive iteration of Alexis’s and Swan’s continually-evolving palette. Recorded in two separate studios across CDMX and Los Angeles,  Otra Vida maintains a cohesive style and sound. The tracks list comprises Basement Ghosts, Don’t Waste My Time, Otra Vida, and an exceptional gem Si Fuera Imposible feat. Fer Delgado on vocals, who also co-wrote this last single.
