Interview: Young León & Charcuterie
Los Angeles-based artist, Young León, has been honing in his craft in alternative pop since 2016. He began making music and posting to SoundCloud until he connected with his longtime friend, Charcuterie. Young León serves as the duo's vocalist - the two officially started collaborating in 2019.
With influences that bring out mellow beach vibes and sunny weather, he set onto making music that would capture both, blending them into the soundtrack of Summer and old friends.
What inspires your music?
Friends and experiences - our music is a reflection of the experiences we've made with friends.

Dominic Fike, Aries, Post Malone, The Beatles
What are some of your favorite memories from your career?
Getting featured on American Songwriter was great, as well as a number of influencers with millions of followers of reposted our songs. Fashionably Early also adding us to their playlist was a good one
Which of your songs/EPs/albums is your favorite?
“Wassup” is Young León's favorite, the breakdown in the song is surprising and unexpected, as well just loves the guitar melody. Charcuterie's favorite is “From the Patio”, as it is mainly an instrumental song, as he claims his best production yet.
Who are some of the collaborators who helped you create your favorite works?
@dstevemixes, @doubleyada all friends from highschool who've been making their name in the music industry as well.
What are you most excited to bring to your fans next?
New music every month! Possibly some live shows this summer.
What are your goals for this upcoming year?
Continuing to release music. We'd like to get to the point of 10,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and are surely getting to that status. A live show would be great!
