Melo RoZe is an R&B/Hip-hop artist/songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. Her music is a big reflection of who she is as well as what she stands for as an artist. As her first release of 2021, Melo RoZe’s “Stuck Wit You” is her mellowest song to date. The track is very minimalist in its classic r&b production with only guitar, piano, and snaps. Her smooth, and effortless voice is the main element that creates dynamic in the song. With all the space left available in the production, Melo creates motion and personality using layers of harmonies and backup vocals.
Throughout the whole of this track, Melo talks about a lover her friends don’t seem to like. Despite this, there really isn’t any bitterness present in her lyrics. The whole of the song is very sweet, as she explains what it is that their love provides for her. The verses are very light and provide glimpses into their relationship, with metaphors for passion, and explanations of his imperfections. In the pre-chorus and chorus, she tells us that she’s committed and that his support is what allows her to figure out everything else that life throws at her.
