Ann-Britt – Singer-Songwriter, Survivor, Storyteller

Ann-Britt is a singer-songwriter originally from Denmark, now based in California, whose deep connection to music began in childhood. She grew up singing in the Danish church, performing at renowned venues like Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, and later working as a swim coach and Pilates instructor. Music was always a passion, but life took an unexpected turn when chronic illness changed everything.

In 2018, Ann-Britt was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a connective tissue disorder that affects her muscles, joints, and internal organs. Overnight, her once-active life became a struggle as her body no longer worked the way it once did. Now reliant on a wheelchair outside her home and living with a feeding tube due to gastroparesis, she faced a painful reality—yet she refused to let it define her.

During her hardest moments, Ann-Britt turned to music. Writing became her therapy, her way of reclaiming herself when everything felt out of control. Over the past six years, she has poured her experiences—loss, resilience, and hope—into songs that tell her story in a way words alone cannot.

Now, she is releasing her debut album, Another Way—a record that embodies her mantra: there’s always another way. Each of the 11 songs represents a different part of her journey, from pain to perseverance, struggle to strength. Ann-Britt’s music is a testament to finding light in the darkest moments, proving that when life forces you to change course, there’s always another path forward.

Through her music, social media, and advocacy, Ann-Britt is committed to raising awareness for EDS and chronic illness, sharing both the highs and lows of her journey. Whether you’re battling an invisible illness, chasing a dream, or just looking for music that speaks to the soul, Ann-Britt hopes her songs will remind you that you’re never alone.
