Originating from West London, Freya Beer deftly mixes poetic lyrics inspired by Charles Bukowski or Anne Sexton with a distinctive noir of Nick Cave, Johnny Cash, and David Lynch.


What inspires your music?

Literature, Horror films, David Lynch, Paintings.

Who are some of your influences?

Dolly Parton, Mazzy Star, Lana Del Rey, Arctic Monkeys.

What are some of your favorite memories from your career?

Playing the Isle of Wight Festival in 2021 and being featured in Hunger Magazine/photographed by Rankin.

Which of your projects do you love the most?

False Hope because it’s a clear representation of my dark film noir influences mixed with modern day. It's an empowering song because it’s saying either walk with me or bugger off. Haha

What are you most excited to bring to your fans next?

New music of course! Over the past couple of years, I've been lucky to have free rein when it comes to releasing, and my new material is only getting better.

What are your goals for this upcoming year?

Perform at more festivals and build up my younger audience. Reach out to the LGBTQ community as well as aspiring musicians.
